SILOBELA – Police in Silobela are investigating a murder that occurred RECENTLY at Msilahobe business center where Pardon Ncube, 33, was involved in an altercation with Bekhithemba Tshuma and his friends, resulting in an assault and damage to Ncube’s vehicle.
Police says, following the initial incident, Ncube gathered friends and returned to the business center, where they attacked Tshuma.
One of the suspects stabbed Tshuma, who was later found dead by a passerby.
Police have arrested Ncube, who is awaiting his court appearance.
“Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects,” Midlands Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said.
In a related case, police are investigating an attempted murder case where Brighton Nkomo, 34, was severely assaulted with an axe and a in Maboleni, Mangwande Township.
The assault stemmed from Nkomo’s refusal to buy beer for Edwin Msipa, who subsequently assaulted Nkomo’s friend.
When Nkomo intervened, Pardon Sibanda joined the attack, striking Nkomo with an axe.
Nkomo was left unconscious but later reported the incident to police.
He is currently hospitalized while police are searching for Msipa and Sibanda.
