HARARE: Hopely youth are celebrating a transformative initiative that is empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering stronger community ties.
The Harare South Youth Market Fair, organized under the Youth-led Economic Empowerment with Access to SRHR initiative by Plan International Zimbabwe, has given over 100 young business owners the opportunity to showcase their ventures and connect with key stakeholders.
Held in Harare South, the fair is not just a platform for business promotion but also a beacon of hope for marginalized communities.
Youth expressed their gratitude for the initiative, highlighting its impact on their lives.
Tinotenda Chakara, a resident of Hopley, shared: “This is a big opportunity for us. It gives us a chance to grow our small businesses and connect with more people.”
Another young beneficiary of the program, Lillian Kaseke, commended Plan International Zimbabwe for their dedication to uplifting underprivileged groups.
“They are doing a great job,” she said.
“They should continue helping marginalized groups and uplifting those in need. It’s initiatives like this that change lives.”
A spokesperson for Plan International Zimbabwe highlighted the significance of the event, explaining its objectives.
“Over 100 young entrepreneurs from Hopley are exhibiting their businesses at the Harare South Youth Market Fair as part of our Youth-led Economic Empowerment with Access to SRHR initiative project,” they stated.
“The fair seeks to connect youth-led businesses in Harare South with the community, established business owners, and other stakeholders.”
