GWERU – Contributing to charity, Gweru City Parking has recently donated five wheelchairs to the Mayor’s Cheer Fund.
City of Gweru Mayor Cllr Martin Chivhoko welcomed the development and urged the community to continuously support the Cheer Fund.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who attended our charity events and contributed to this fund,” Chivhoko said.
“Our team worked closely with local community leaders and social services to identify the most vulnerable families and individuals. We are committed to ensuring that those who need it most receive the necessary support.
“As we celebrate the success of this initiative, I urge everyone to continue supporting our charity cheer fund. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need,” Cllr Chivhoko added.
Gweru City parking General Manager, Gemu also pledged to continue giving back to the community.
“We believe that everyone can contribute to community development, and this gesture is just one of many ways to make a positive impact,” said Gemu.
In recognition of this generous donation, Gweru City Parking was awarded a certificate of participation in the Mayor’s Cheer Fund for 2024-2025, underscoring their commitment to uplifting the community.
