BULAWAYO: One of Zimbabwe’s leading medical aid society CIMAS has reemphasized its commitment to improving its facilities for the benefit of communities they save.

Currently running 57 medical facilities across Zimbabwe, the facility says it attends to averagely 50 to 90 students per day on each clinic while running between 3000 t0 3500 tests in their laboratories.

Services offered include pathology, dialysis, dental, air rescue evacuation and also primary health care.

“We wish to see an improved healthcare system in Zimbabwe and as an organization, we will keep improving our facilities so that we even come up with facilities of the future.

“”As CIMAS our concern is also on  the rising cost of healthcare in Zimbabwe, hence we are  calling for collaborative efforts to improve access to health services for all Zimbabweans,” said the organisation’s CEO Vulindlela Ndlovu.

CIMAS Chief Operations Officer (COO) Thando Kembo also emphasized the organisation’s dedication to ensuring people live longer, healthier lives, aligning with a broader global.

“By 2050, the number of people aged 65 and older is expected to increase by over 200%. This demographic shift underscores the importance of proactive healthcare and the need to adapt health systems to cater to an aging population,” said Kembo.

With its commitment to health, wellness, and a longer life expectancy for Zimbabweans, CIMAS is positioning itself as a key player in addressing the country’s health challenges.
