Chingwaramusee appointed Hearts of Women Trust board chair

GWERU: Heart of Women Trust has appointed City of Gweru Public Relations Officer, Vimbai Chingwaramusee as its board chairperson, CommuTalk has learnt.

Hearts of Women Trust communicated the development through a letter notifying Chingwaramusee that she will be steering the organisation’s board starting 1 February 2021.

“It is with great pleasure that I appoint you as the Chairperson of the board of Heart of Women Trust. The appointment is effective 1st February 2021,” reads part of the letter.

The Trust’s main thrust was to assist women prisoners so that they live better lives when they leave prison.

The appointment adds to Chingwaramusse’s portfolio who has seen the local authority winning several accolades through her office and these include Young Public Relations Practitioner of the Year, First Runner -Up Best Campaign Digital Communication, Second runner-Up Best Influence Strategy, Second Runner-Up Public Relations and Communication Campaign of the Year and Second Runner-Up Best Engagement all in 2020.

A journalist by training recently attached to Ab Coomunication’s 98.4 FM as a new current anchor and reporter, Chingwaramusee said she felt honored by the appointment.

“I am honored to be joining Heart of Women Trust. It’s my hope and vision that during my tenure I will surely make a positive impact for women in prisons and ex-female prisoners,” she said.
