GWERU – The Zanu PF Midlands executive has cleared air over speculation towards re-admission of Midlands based stewards who served under the Mugabe era and were booted out with the coming of the new dispensation.

Among those seeking re-admission into the party are Rugare Gumbo, Francis Nhema, Jaison Machaya, Flora Bhuka, Annastacia Ndlovu, Makhosisni Hlongwane and Tapiwa Matangaidze.

Most of the members seeking re-admission were booted out of the party during the time at which factionalism took center stage with both facing allegations of plans to topple the then, now late, President Robert Mugabe from power under supposed factional sides namely Gamatox and G40.

Speaking to CommuTalk News following the Zanu PF Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting held over the weekend, party spokesperson Cornelias Mupereri said the party has received letters from the former Ministers but is yet to decide on re-admissions.

“The Midlands Provincial Executive has not as yet recommended the readmission of the said former Ministers into the Party. Yes we received their applications but we haven’t sat to consider them,” wrote Mupereri in response to questions sent by this publication.

Meanwhile, Zanu PF gave Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu admission to continue with his ongoing programs he carried out as the constituency representative.
