GWERU: Leading Division 1 side Shesham Fc yesterday welcomed a new bus, a development they say should improve player performance after long trips for fixtures.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Shesham FC Chairperson Reginald Chidawanyika said the bus is a sign that the President does not fall short of his promises.

“We are happy to be receiving this bus as it was a needed development. Previously, we used a mini bus which we know players would be tired ahead of their fixtures after long trips.

“We are also grateful to the club President, Mr Mandaza as this shows how committed he is and above all, this is important to us because he kept his promise. I remember pitching during our strategic plan for the year that we needed a bus and here it is,” Chidawanyika said.

“This development is also a big challenge to the team to maintain for as promises have been met since commencement of the season,” added Shesham FC Board Member – Marketing, Munyaradzi Mafaza.

Meanwhile, Shesham FC recently lost one of their long serving players, William Stima to their main contenders, Hardrock FC. They have however maintained a six points gap on top of the Central Region Division 1 league.
