GWERU: Shesham FC continued on their unbeaten streak after beating their main contenders Hardrock FC with three goals to one following an intriguing encounter at Bata Stadium.

Shesham now leads the log table with 19 points while Hardrock remained stagnant at 16 points.

The win is however means more ‘focus’ to the club’s head coach Prince Matore who says ‘the more one wins, the more they become everyone’s target.’

Matore however expressed excitement over the team’s ‘improved’ mental strength and urged them to stay focused saying they are on a marathon that will need them to be consistent with the winning.

Despite losing, Hardrock FC coach Kevin Maphosa said they remain hopeful pinning their hope to remaining fixtures which he says are plenty to amend the recent loss.

“It is one of those games. You win, you lose, you draw. It is however a wake-up call looking at where we are coming from and where we are today.

“This is also only the seventh game of the season and we have plenty to go. We will win,” Maphosa said.

In other weekend results, JAME West FC beat Gokwe North 2-1, Tongogara won 1-0 over Dulibadzimu while Dinson Mvuma lost b4-0 to Chapungu United.
