GWERU: A Gweru man residing in Mkoba Munashe Chigoriwa (22) was arrested for allegedly stabbing Takundanshe Arther Ngazimbi (19) with a knife on the chest to death .
The incident occurred at Mkoba 6 Shopping Centre in Gweru.
Midlands police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has confirmed the incident.
“It is alleged that the now deceased was found lying on the ground at Mkoba 6 shopping center with a stab wound on his chest. Ngazimbi was rushed to Gweru General Hospital where he was pronounced dead,” said Mahoko.
“Upon police investigations the accused was found at a hideout in Woodlands Park in Gweru .The suspected murder weapon a blood stained dagger was found in Mkoba 7,” added Mahoko.
Police also say investigations are ongoing and has appealed with members of the public who might have information about the case to come forward.
