MASVINGO: The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZAAC) yesterday took in the Minister of State for Masvingo Province, Ezra Chadzamira for questioning.
Chadzamira was picked up by officers from the commission to Masvingo Magistrate’s Court for a hearing.
Details remain unclear but sources say he is facing corruption charges involving allocation of land at Kilimanjalo project in Chiredzi.
In a statement, ZAAC did not disclose much but acknowledged that they had recorded a warned and cautioned statement from Chadzamira.
“The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission has recorded a warned and cautioned statement from Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira.
The matter is still under investigation, which is nearing completion especially after receiving further instructions from the National Prosecuting Authority,” wrote ZAAC spokesperson John Makamure in a statement.
