GWERU: Central Region Soccer League outfit Sheasham FC has parted ways with head coach Lizwe Sweswe.
In a statement media liaison officer Elias Magiya said the two parties had separated mutually.
Former Caps United and national team defender Asani Nhongo will take over in interim bases.
“The club wishes to inform its supporters and all stakeholders that it has parted ways with the men’s head coach, Lizwe Sweswe on mutual grounds.
“We thank coach Sweswe for his contributions to the club during his tenure and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” says Elias Magiya.
“In the interim, Asan Nhongo will take over coaching responsibilities as the club begins the process of appointing a substantive head coach.
“We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the team’s competitive spirit,” he added.
Sweswe has been under fire for failing to lead the team into the Premier Soccer League after being availed adequate resources for the challenge.
While Sweswe believed in establishing a culture and identity for the club, the Presidium wanted promotion.
