KWEKWE: The Midlands police have sent out an appeal to the public seeking assistance to nab murder suspect(s) who murdered a 70-year-old man in Kwekwe.
Murder cases are on the rise in the province as unceasing gold wars continue although the issue at hand has not been linked to the escalating fights related to the quest for minerals.
“Members of the public are being informed that police are appealing to them for help regarding assailants who are still on the run for the murder of a 70-year-old man in Kwekwe,” said Midlands Provincial Community Relations Liason Officer, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
“The now late Dan Chiwoko was discovered lying unconscious along the road near his home in Mbizo and with a deep cut on the back of his head. He was ferried to Kwekwe Hospital where he was receiving treatment from where he later died,” Mahoko further narrated.
