HARARE: Fast-rising hip hop chanter and UZ student Voltz JT whose real name is Nkosilati Sibiya has featured Zim-Dancehall sensation Ameen Jaleel popularly known as Poptain in the music circles on his new track ‘System’ which is set to hit airwaves today.
Voltz JT says the ‘unusual’ collaboration is something people ‘may not expect’ but promised fireworks.
“It’s a drill song and people are not expecting Poptain to be on a drill song but a lot of people will be surprised by how good he handled it,” says Voltz JT.
Further confirming the development, the two artists highlighted that the piece that brings out how people never change their ways once they get deep into it, hence the name ‘System’.
“Our collaboration track which was produced by Jax daBeatbully highlights a number of social ills amongst our peers and it also depicts how people never change their ways once they get deep into it”, they concurred.
Poptain and Voltz have been in the limelight in different genres since the first quarter of the year, both of them have released hit songs and they have been greatly received by the audience.
Voltz JT emerged on the music scene earlier this year after his song called ‘These Days’ went viral on social media platforms, followed by his collaboration track with Holy Ten called ‘How Far.’
Poptain has been in the limelight in the Zim-Dancehall genre after releasing a collaboration track called ‘Kokai’ with Nutty O and his track called ‘Fadza Mutengi’.
