GWERU – The Police today temporarily closed the Midlands Hotel after a decomposed body was found in a non-functioning vehicle parked in the facility’s car park.
Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the development.
“I can confirm that the hotel has been temporarily closed following a report that a body of an unknown man was discovered in a disused vehicle. The body was in a state of decomposition in the hotel’s parking area.
“Investigations are currently underway,” he said.
Comments from the Hotel owner Hamutendi Kombayi were fruitless as his mobile phone went unanswered.
