GWERU: All is set for the Minister’s Christmas charity dinner organised by the Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Sen Larry Mavhima.
The dinner is meant to fundraise and support disadvantaged families from marginalised communities in the Midlands Province.
The annual event will this year be held on December 15 at Village Lodge.
Several stakeholders including top business executives are expected to grace the event which will also give a platform for stakeholders to share ideas on how to develop the province’s gross domestic product (GDP) by easing the business operating environment.
Minister Mavhima told the CommuTalk that preparations are in an advanced stage and all proceeds from the function will be channelled to charity.
“Preparations are at an advanced stage and we wish to forward all proceeds to charity,” he said.
Meanwhile, organisers of the event have since confirmed that most businesses including mining giants have confirmed participation at the prestigious event.
Guests will also be treated to various artistic works as entertainment has been lined up for the event.
