GWERU’S budding music sensation Leona Furusa popularly known as Leona Lilie in the music circles is set to collaborate with international afro-pop star David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido.
Having met Davido’s videographer Jaydot, through her sponsor; Gerry King, Leona Lilie is excited on the latest development and how her music has evolved through working with the ‘right’ people.
Leona Lilie Facebook page shows a video of Jaydot confirming the development.
“We are working on Leona’s collabo with Davido, watch the space it is going to be the best collabo ever,” he confirmed.
The young artist says she has been thrilled by the confirmation of the deal.
“When my producer told me that the collaboration has been sealed I could not believe it. Working with Davido is an extra mile. We are working on a single that will be out soon. I am grateful to my producer and sponsor for backing me in my music journey,” she said.
“When I did the Wakatemba cover video I did not think that everything will turn out the way they are now. I am so excited that I will have to share stage with an international Afro pop music icon. Knowing the right people really matters,” she added.
Leona Lillie made a grand appearance through a cover song video singing to Tocky Vibes featuring Ex Q’s hot song Wakatemba last month.
Having completed her latest project with Celebration Choir, Leona is now working on a music video of her single titled ‘Palla’ which is expected to be out in few days’ time.
