GWERU – The Jehova’s Witness Church has rescheduled the much anticipated Annual Global Conference that had been set for June and July has been rescheduled to 29-30 August and the church says preparations are already at an advanced stage.
The convention; in response to the new normal will be held online giving room for improved attendance world over.
“There are more than 8.6 million active Witnesses worldwide, yet the 2019 conventions had a peak attendance of more than 14 million. This year might be the most attended convention of Jehovah’s Witness since the program will be available online in hundreds of languages,” wrote the church in a communiqué.
This year’s event will be held under the theme Always Rejoice.
“This year’s convention program underscores the unity of our international family and the joy that people can have against a backdrop of stress and despair since our worship is centered on mutual love for our God and for each other irrespective of where we are physically,” the communiqué further reads.
