GWERU: All is set for the 20th ZANU PF National People’s Conference which will be held at the Midlands Convention Centre in Gweru this Friday and Saturday.
The conference will be officially opened by ZANU PF President and First Secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa this Friday.
It is all systems go for the ZANU PF National People’s Conference which begins this Friday. The setting at the venue of the conference is befitting for hosting any international event as these constructors are putting in place the final touches for the successful hosting of the event while organisers are equally self-assured.
“I can safely say we are almost 98 percent complete. We are just left with a few hours to put everything in place. The event has been oversubscribed as people are jostling to attend our event. All the logistics regarding food and accommodation are now in place,” said ZANU PF Midlands Provincial Chairman, Larry Mavima.
Delegates have begun to throng the City of Gweru looking forward to interacting with their leaders and President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“I can’t wait for the commencement of this conference. I expect the President to tell us the way forward post-general elections victory. We won the Elections and it’s time our leader tells us how we are going to fulfill the Election promises,” said one of the delegates, Kudakwashe Gopo.
Tremendous Musara added, “We are anticipating to meet our President as he will tell us on how we are going to be implementing the issue of devolution going forward. Remember as a country we have a target of an upper middle-income society by 2030. We expect our President to unpack the vision for the next five years as a ruling formation.”
The hosting of the National People’s Conference at this Midlands Convention Center is being done for the second time since this center was constructed.
