In the semi-finals, Maputo edged past Gweru Sharks in a thrilling 6-5 penalty shootout, while Shurugwi Legends, inspired by former Caps United left-back Asani Nhongo, secured a 2-1 victory over Global, with Nhongo sealing the win with a late goal.

Their coach, Lovemore Moyo, commended his players’ efforts despite the loss.
