GOKWE brothers, Tafadzwa Zviteure (31) and Stephen Zviteure (34) are on the run after allegedly assaulting Offias Lunga (24) over a beer dispute.
The now late Lunga is said to have been attacked for boasting that no one could beat whilst drinking in the company of Tafadzwa and Stephen.
The incident occurred at Madenyaya Business Center, Nemangwe in Gokwe.
Police has confirmed the incidence and says investigations are ongoing.
“A misunderstanding arose resulting in the accused persons assaulting the now deceased with stones on the back of his head and forehead. The two accused persons fled the scene leaving the now deceased lying on the ground.
“Matter was reported to the police who attended to the scene and no arrest was made. Lunga was rushed to Gokwe general hospital he died upon admission,” reads a police communique.
“Police are appealing to members of the public who might have information about the assailants to inform any nearest police station, use our police hotlines and suggestion boxes dotted across the nation,” further reads the communique.
