GOKWE: The Chidhakwa community in Gokwe has been left in shock after a fellow villager, was stabbed to death over infidelity allegations.
The suspects identified as Simbarashe Zikoke (27) and Wellington Zharare (23) from Chinyauro village who are still at large, allegedly teamed up against Justice Chidhakwa and stabbed him to death.
Circumstances are that on the 27 June around 7pm, the now deceased was on his way home from Kana Mission Business Centre when he was approached by Zikoke and Zharare accusing him of impregnating a friend’s wife.
It is reported that a heated argument ensued between Chidhakwa and the two suspects, leading to the fatality.
Chidhakwa, who is understood to have died on the spot, sustained deep cuts on the left side of the chest and on the leg.
His body was later discovered under a cotton bale.
Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the sad incident and appealed to members of the public who might have information on the whereabouts of the suspects to inform any nearest police station.
